Burns, wounds, scars from surgery - there are dozens of reasons that led to the appearance of a scar. But regardless of the reason for its appearance, the hair on the scar will not grow.

The reason is simple - scar tissue is fundamentally different from the skin. There are no sebaceous glands or hair follicles in it.

Those follicles that were in the skin earlier are destroyed during injury. So it turns out that the only way to grow new hair on the scar is transplantation.

The World Health Organization identifies two main methods of transplantation:

• FUE (patchwork technique);
• DHI.

These technologies have some varieties, but they are just different ways of implementing one technique. Moreover, the place of transplantation does not affect the choice of the technique in any way. Both in the skin and in the scar tissue, hair can be transplanted using any of these methods.

The methods differ from each other by the principle of taking material from the donor area. FUE is an operational method.
