Indications and contraindications to the procedure
Liposuction is recommended primarily for people with adipose tissue in a certain area, which is difficult to get
rid
of with the help of diet and exercise. It is designed to correct the contours of the body and remove locally
accumulated adipose tissue. This is not a weight loss procedure, although it helps to lose a few pounds.
The purpose of treatment is to correct the figure, giving the body the right proportions, sucking fat tissue
from
the right places. During the consultation, the surgeon will discuss with the patient the course of liposuction,
as
well as the planned and achievable effects. Using the procedure, you can:
- Perform silhouette modeling;
- Give the body the right proportions;
- Quickly return to everyday life.
Hip liposuction-contraindications
The best candidates for liposuction are people with a stable body weight and elastic skin with a high level of
tension. The most important contraindications that prevent liposuction are:
- Cardiovascular diseases;
- Diseases of the respiratory system;
- Unregulated hypertension;
- Infections of the skin and mucous membranes;
- Blood clotting disorders;
- Thyroid disease;
- HIV;
- Viral infection of the liver.
In addition, the specialist must determine whether the operation carries any risks that outweigh the benefits of
the
operation. If the general state of health is unsatisfactory and the operation is associated with too high a risk
of
complications, the operation is not performed.
Types of liposuction of the buttocks and thighs
Liposuction can be performed by various methods. Let`s analyze each of them.
-
Dry equipment. The procedure of dry liposuction is no longer carried out. With the development of the
tumescent
technique, the dry method was completely eliminated. The dry technique required general anesthesia and, as
the name
implies, was performed without the introduction of any decongestants. As a result, blood was sucked out
during
liposuction. Therefore, the procedure was very risky and ended with the loss of a large amount of blood - it
was
about 30% of the absorbed substance. In this type of liposuction, patients required a blood transfusion
during
surgery and subsequent hospitalization.
-
Wet equipment. Wet liposuction has become a breakthrough and a step forward in the development of safe
methods of
liposuction. However, it was also stopped, since blood was aspirated during the procedure, which was 15-20%
of the
volume of the absorbed substance. During this technique, general anesthesia was used and about 100 ml of
adrenaline
was injected, which slightly weakened the tissue and caused less blood loss.
-
Super wet technique. In fact, this is a method very close to the tumescent method. It is based on the
injection of
the same solution. However, the difference lies in the amount of injected liquid, which is half as much.
Accordingly, the patient required general anesthesia, and there was still blood loss.
WAL-liposuction using a strong jet of water
It all boils down to the fact that a sterile solution of saline, lignocaine and adrenaline is injected into the
place from which it is necessary to remove fat. The jet has a force similar to a strong shower jet, so it does
not
cause "tears" of tissues, does not cause damage, swelling and bruising. After completing its task, the liquid
injected with the cannula is removed along with the fat cells by suction using the same cannula. The fluid
injected
with a cannula does not accumulate in the body. Simultaneous introduction and drainage of the infiltration fluid
is
of great importance for safety and comfort procedures. Lidocaine has anesthetic properties, and adrenaline
causes narrowing of blood vessels. This procedure
facilitates liposuction and reduces bleeding. In turn, an experienced surgeon can use this method to model the
patient`s figure very beautifully.
Intact fat cells obtained using the WALL method can be used for reimplantation (breast augmentation, buttock
modeling, breast reconstruction after mastectomy, filling in wrinkles, eliminating defects and damage to the
body as
a result of accidents). The fat obtained during the absorption process is the most natural and safe filler.
Tumescent equipment
For the first time, the tumescent technique was used in 1985. It leads to infiltration anesthesia of the skin
and
subcutaneous tissue (it contains the largest deposits of fat in the body) using large volumes of very dilute
solutions of anesthetics neutralized with sodium bicarbonate. Adding a small amount of vasoconstrictor to the
solution makes liposuction almost bloodless. The amount of liquid injected is three times the amount of fat
absorbed. The procedure using this technique usually lasts four or even five hours longer. Often, when it is
performed, it is no longer necessary to use anesthesia, since the amount of anesthetic contained in the injected
liquid is sufficient.
Ultrasound technology
A method based on the use of ultrasound. It destroys the cell membranes of fat cells, facilitating liposuction.
This
method is especially useful for liposuction from places such as the neck or chest area in men. The method is
also
used in cases when the patient wants to perform a second liposuction in the same place. Immediately after the
operation, swelling, bruising, burning and numbness appear on the area from which the fat was sucked out. In
turn,
dermatitis can form on the areas of cuts. To minimize these symptoms, it is recommended to use pressure-bearing,
elastic bandages. The best cosmetic effect and faster recovery is also achieved when performing special
massages.
Laser technology
It is based on the use of a cold laser that dissolves adipose tissue. Laser technology is usually used in
combination with tumescent technology. The procedure involves holding the device over the area to be liposucted
for
about 12 minutes, then small incisions are made and a cannula is inserted to suck out fat.
Vibroliposuction
Compressed air and a vibrating cannula are used for treatment. Vibrolipo is considered a less invasive method
than
traditional liposuction. Vibrolipo (also called vibroliposuction) combines the suction and vibration of the
cannula.
The movement of the cannula destroys the adipose tissue and turns it into an emulsion that can be sucked out.
How is liposuction on the buttocks
A slim and elastic ass is a goal that many women strive for. Sometimes it happens that diets and exercises do
not
bring the expected results, and adipose tissue is constantly accumulating in this part of the body, in order to
get
rid of this problem once and for all, we recommend liposuction of the buttocks.
How is liposuction made on the hips
Hip liposuction is performed under general anesthesia, so the patient should not eat or drink at least six hours
before the procedure. Immediately before the procedure, lines are applied on the skin, indicating the areas from
which the fat will be sucked off. Liposuction can be performed in two ways:
Method I - a solution of saline, epinephrine and lidocaine is injected into the subcutaneous fat. This solution
softens adipose tissue and narrows blood vessels, preventing bleeding and bruising. Then small incisions are
made on
the skin, through which cannulas (blunt metal tubes) are inserted. Excess fat is removed with a syringe.
Method II-an emollient solution is injected into the adipose tissue, but an aspiration pump is used to aspirate
the
fat. After the introduction of the solution, incisions are made on the skin, through which cannulas are
inserted,
connected to a suction pump.
By the method of an aspiration pump, you can suck out a larger amount of fat (about 3 liters, with a syringe - 2
liters). However, this method is less accurate and does not offer such a wide range of options for correcting
body
contours. In addition, when using this method, the risk of subcutaneous irregularities increases.
After the fat is sucked out, stitches are applied to the incision sites, which are usually removed after 7 days.
The
procedure takes from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the chosen method and the amount of fat tissue being sucked out.
The method using an aspiration pump is sometimes combined with the use of ultrasound. Ultrasound liposuction
(ultrasound helps to separate adipose tissue from the surrounding tissue) is currently the most advanced method
of
liposuction. Don`t know where to get liposuction? Look at the clinics in Turkey, there are
affordable prices for
procedures, qualified doctors and modern medical equipment.
Water liposuction of the thighs
Water liposuction has recently become an alternative to classical liposuction. This allows you to more
accurately
shape the contours of the body, and the procedure is less invasive. This type of treatment gives better visual
effects and requires a shorter recovery period.
Water liposuction of the thighs consists in the introduction of an aqueous solution under high pressure into the
subcutaneous fat. The solution reduces the risk of bleeding, and also softens adipose tissue. Then the adipose
tissue is removed through the same cannula that was introduced into the solution.
A week before the procedure, the patient should refrain from smoking and taking medications that have
anticoagulant
properties. On the day of the procedure, you should be on an empty stomach. The procedure of water liposuction
of
the thighs usually takes about 2 hours.
Recovery period after liposuction
After hip liposuction, the patient needs to stay in the clinic for 1-2 days. During the stay in the clinic, the
patient is given painkillers, because after the effect of anesthesia passes, the pain may increase. It is
possible
to return to daily duties in about 1-2 weeks and depends on how the patient feels after the procedure and how
the
healing process is going. Intensive exercise and physical activity should be avoided for at least two weeks
after
the procedure. The sauna and solarium cannot be used for several weeks.
It is also recommended to wear special compression clothing for at least 3 weeks. Sometimes it is recommended to
wear clothes for up to 2 months.
Depending on the body, the edema completely disappears after 1-6 months. To speed up recovery, regular massage
and
endermological procedures are recommended (massage in combination with negative pressure that activates the
metabolism of adipose tissue). If you are still in doubt whether to perform the procedure or not,
liposuction before and after pictures will help you make a decision.
