• Full-face projection. Mentally divide the face into three parts with horizontal lines. The ideal nose is considered to be, the length of which does not go out of the middle third. The wings should not go beyond the imaginary line drawn strictly down from the inner corner of the eyes. The bridge of the nose is located just above the lash line. The width of the bridge of the nose is no more than the width of the open eyes. The center of the columella (the septum between the nostrils) is strictly between the butterfly wings of the upper lip. And, of course, the nose should be strictly symmetrical and not "move" to the right or left.

Rhinoplasty is an operation to change or correct congenital or acquired defects of the nose.

Let`s take a closer look at what awaits the owners of noses that do not fit into the concept of "ideal".

The easiest type of surgical intervention. Sometimes it is enough for the patient to raise or lower one or two millimeters of the tip of the nose – and the face acquires a completely different expression. It is often in this area that non-surgical methods of correcting deficiencies are used, such as the installation of cosmetic threads or the introduction of fillers. For example, a dangling hooked tip is pulled up by a thread or a too pointed "predatory" one is filled with biopolymer gels such as silicones.

However, there are disadvantages that can be eliminated only by surgery on the nasal cartilage, it is he who is the basis of the tip of the nose. Which of them are subject to surgery:

• upturned;
• forked;
• nodding (descending while smiling).

There are several ways to solve:

• truncation of the lower part of the cartilage of the tip of the nose;
• tightening and stitching of lateral cartilages;
• resection or retraction of the domes (cavities) of the nostrils;
• reduction of the distance between the domes due to resection of the central cartilage.

Which method the surgeon chooses will depend on many indicators: age, skin thickness, volume of tissues to be removed. The operation to correct the shape of the nose with a potato is considered one of the most difficult and requires a highly qualified surgeon. Only the best plastic surgeons in Turkey undertake it. A large one is a nose that does not fit into the ideal proportions of the face, which we talked about above. Too long or too wide, with a large overhanging tip. Correction of a hooked nose is carried out by excision of a part of soft tissues above the tip and subsequent suturing of ligaments. The nose acquires a perky state inherent in a young face. All this in a complex allows you to narrow the wings and visually "straighten" the nose.

The wide back significantly coarsens the face. Because of this defect, it visually seems that the eyes are widely spaced, the harmonious proportions are broken. The essence of the problem most often lies at the base of the bone vault. Since the operation takes place in sufficiently deep layers, the method of open rhinoplasty is most often used.

Part of the bone-cartilage tissue is removed. At the same time, the mucous membrane and respiratory function should not be affected by the surgeon`s actions.

Nose asymmetry can occur for several reasons. Most often this is due to a curvature of the nasal septum.
