Tummy Tuck Cost in Turkey: What Shapes the Price
Written by Arina Yunusova

Table of Content
There is no single price for a tummy tuck in Turkey, because the operation is planned around your skin, muscles and health rather than sold as one fixed item. The cost of a tummy tuck in Turkey comes from which technique you need, whether the muscles are repaired, whether liposuction or another procedure is added, how long the operation and hospital stay are, how long you stay in Turkey and what is coordinated around surgery. This guide explains how those pieces fit together, why two quotes can differ, and what to compare in writing.
Plastic Surgery Turkey Group (PSTG) is a health-tourism intermediary affiliated with TÜRSAB. We coordinate your assessment, travel and aftercare, and the operation is performed by the treating surgeon at a contracted healthcare institution in Istanbul or Antalya. We do not publish price lists, because a figure given before a medical assessment is a guess. After the surgeon reviews your photos and medical history, you receive a written treatment plan and quote. For techniques, recovery and risks, see our tummy tuck in Turkey page.
What a tummy tuck quote is built from#
The table shows the main building blocks and why each one moves the total. It deliberately contains no figures.
| What shapes the quote | Why it matters | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Technique | A mini tummy tuck treats less than a full or extended one | Which technique the quote assumes |
| Muscle repair | Repairing separated muscles adds to the operation | Whether repair is included |
| Added procedures | Liposuction, or breast surgery in a mommy makeover, lengthens the plan | Whether the combination is safe in one session |
| Operating time and anaesthesia | Longer surgery uses more theatre and anaesthetic time | Whether the anaesthetist is included |
| Hospital stay | One or two nights is common | How many nights, and what happens if you need more |
| Time in Turkey | Many patients plan around a week to ten days | How many hotel nights are in the plan |
| Aftercare | Drains, medication, compression garment, nursing and follow-up | What is supplied and what you buy yourself |
Why two tummy tuck quotes can look so different#
A low-looking quote and a higher one may not describe the same operation. Common reasons for the gap include:
- one assumes a mini tummy tuck and the other a full or extended one;
- one includes muscle repair and liposuction and the other does not;
- the hospital stay, anaesthetist or operating-theatre fees are listed separately in one and bundled in the other;
- the garment, medication, drain checks and wound care are included in one and charged separately in the other;
- the hotel category, number of nights and transfers differ;
- one includes follow-up after you fly home and the other ends when you leave Turkey.
A very low quote is worth questioning, not rushing towards. Ask what has been left out and how the provider would handle a complication or a revision. The surgeon, the hospital standards and the aftercare matter more to your result and your safety than the headline figure.
Why prices in Turkey differ from your home country#
People often notice that quotes from Turkey look different from quotes at home. Part of that comes from local operating costs and exchange rates, and part from how packages are put together. That is a reason to ask questions, not a reason to choose on price alone. A tummy tuck is major surgery, so compare what you would receive, not just what you would pay.
What PSTG typically coordinates#
Depending on your package, PSTG coordinates pre- and post-operative consultations, a 4-5-star hotel with meals and any special dietary needs, airport and clinic transfers, a personal interpreter or assistant, post-operative medication, nursing and wound care including drain checks, follow-up appointments, 24/7 support during your stay, virtual follow-up after you fly home and coordination with your home doctor. Your written plan confirms exactly what is covered. Our guide to what is included in a tummy tuck package lists the typical elements and what to confirm.
Costs that sit outside a quote#
Even a thorough package may leave some costs with you, so ask about them early:
- flights to and from Istanbul or Antalya, and a companion's flight if you bring one;
- extra nights if the surgeon wants you to stay longer than planned, for example while a drain stays in;
- anything beyond the agreed procedures;
- care in your home country after you return, such as local wound or scar checks;
- time away from work and help at home, since lifting and straining are restricted for around six weeks or longer;
- travel and medical insurance, which some patients arrange for the trip.
Long flights raise the risk of blood clots after surgery, so the journey home is part of the plan. The surgeon confirms when you are fit to fly.
How the quote changes after your assessment#
The first plan is based on your photos, height, weight, pregnancies and medical history. It can change after the surgeon has examined you in person, because the examination shows how much skin is loose, how far the muscles have separated and how healthy your tissue is. If the surgeon recommends a different technique, adds liposuction, suggests staging a combination or advises waiting for a more stable weight, the quote changes with it.
Two examples show the idea:
- A patient with loose skin only below the belly button may be offered a mini tummy tuck, a shorter operation and an earlier return home.
- A patient with loose skin above and below the navel, separated muscles and fat on the flanks may need a full tummy tuck with liposuction, a longer operation and a longer recovery in Turkey.
The second plan has more in it, so the quote is built from more parts. Neither is the right or wrong price. Each is the price of a different plan. If your main concern is fat with firm skin, liposuction may be enough, which changes the plan again.
How to compare quotes in writing#
Ask every provider to put the following in writing, so you can compare like with like:
- the name of the operating surgeon and the institution where surgery takes place;
- the technique, whether muscle repair is included and whether liposuction is added;
- the length of the hospital stay, who the anaesthetist is and what is covered;
- the aftercare schedule, who checks the drains and wounds, and who to contact out of hours;
- what happens if there is a complication, a seroma or a revision, and what it would cost you;
- what is not included.
Photos help you judge what is realistic. Browse the tummy tuck before-and-after gallery, remembering that each photo is one patient. For the wider safety checklist, read Is plastic surgery in Turkey safe? What to check.
Candidacy comes before price#
The price question comes second. A tummy tuck suits loose skin or separated muscles at a stable weight, in good health, for people who have finished having children or accept that pregnancy would change the result. It is usually not advised while you are still losing weight or if your BMI is above the surgeon's safe range. A surgeon who is honest about this is more useful than one who quotes quickly.
