Facelift in Turkey: Cost, Packages and Reviews
Written by Arina Yunusova

Table of Content
There is no single price for a facelift in Turkey, because the cost is built from your own plan: the technique, whether the neck, eyelids or fat grafting are included, the anaesthetic and hospital time, how long you stay and what the package coordinates. A reliable figure only comes as a personal written quote after the surgeon has reviewed your photos and medical history. Reviews can tell you a good deal about communication and aftercare, but they cannot tell you how safe an operation is or what your own result will look like.
This guide explains how a facelift quote is put together, what an all-inclusive package usually covers, how to compare quotes in writing, and how to read reviews and before-and-after photos with a critical eye. For the procedure itself, including the techniques, recovery and risks, see our facelift procedure page. Plastic Surgery Turkey Group (PSTG) coordinates planning, travel and aftercare, and the treating surgeon at a contracted healthcare institution in Istanbul or Antalya makes every clinical decision.
Facelift in Turkey: the short answer#
A facelift in Turkey is the same operation as anywhere else: the surgeon lifts the deeper tissues of the lower face and neck and redrapes the skin. What differs is the planning, the travel and the aftercare.
- Cost: there is no standard figure. You receive a personal written quote once the surgeon has seen your photos and history, and it is confirmed at your examination.
- Package: consultations, hotel, transfers, an interpreter or assistant, nursing and follow-up are usually coordinated together. Your written plan lists exactly what is included.
- Stay: many patients plan around ten days to two weeks, so that stitches can be removed and early healing checked before flying.
- Safety: it depends on your health, the surgeon, the institution and the aftercare plan more than on the country.
- Reviews: useful for judging communication and logistics, not as proof of safety or of the result you will get.
What shapes the cost of a facelift in Turkey#
Reputable providers avoid blanket numbers for a reason. During the assessment the surgeon looks at your skin quality, how much laxity there is, how fat is distributed, whether there are bands in the neck and how far the mid-face has descended. They also review your medical history and ask what bothers you most: the jawline, the cheeks, the neck or all three. Only from that evaluation does a tailored operative plan, and then a quote, make sense.
The main things that shape a personal quote are:
- Technique and scope. A mini lift for early jowling is a different operation from a deep plane lift with neck work for more advanced laxity. Longer, more complex surgery means more operating and anaesthetic time.
- Add-on procedures. Many patients combine a facelift with eyelid surgery, a brow or temporal lift, liposuction under the chin or fat grafting. Each addition affects operating time, materials and aftercare.
- Anaesthesia and hospital stay. A facelift is usually done under general anaesthesia, and many plans include a night in hospital so that blood pressure and the dressings can be watched. The surgeon and anaesthetist decide both for your case. Ask which institution is planned and what the stay includes.
- Aftercare. Some patients need extra nursing support or a longer stay, especially when travelling alone. Treatments such as lymphatic drainage are added only if the surgeon advises them.
- Travel logistics. The number of hotel nights, the hotel category, transfers and whether a companion travels with you all change the plan.
A quote written from photos is provisional. Ask how changes are handled if the in-person examination shows that a different technique or an extra procedure would suit you better, and make sure any change is confirmed in writing before surgery.
Mini facelift or full facelift: how the plan changes the quote#
A mini facelift is a smaller operation with shorter incisions, aimed at early jowling and a limited amount of laxity along the jawline. Because the operation is shorter, the plan around it is smaller too. It does little for significant neck laxity, neck bands or a descended mid-face, however.
Choose the technique for your anatomy, not for the quote. A mini lift on a face that needs more work may give a modest result and lead to a second operation later, which costs more time and recovery than planning the right operation once. The surgeon recommends the approach after examining you.
What an all-inclusive facelift package usually covers#
"All-inclusive" should mean fewer surprises. Details vary with each plan, and your written plan confirms exactly what is covered. It usually sets out the medical part (the operation, anaesthesia and the hospital stay) and the practical part that PSTG coordinates:
- pre- and post-operative consultations and follow-up appointments;
- a 4-5-star hotel, and airport and clinic transfers;
- a personal interpreter or assistant and 24/7 support;
- nursing and wound care during the early recovery;
- meals and any special dietary needs;
- virtual follow-up after you fly home and coordination with your home doctor.
The full coverage page explains how the package works. Ask whether post-operative medication and compression garments are included in your plan. Items that often sit outside a package, or that vary between providers, include flights, extra nights if the surgeon asks you to stay longer, a companion's costs, and treatment of a problem that appears after you have returned home. Ask about each one before you book.
How to compare facelift quotes in writing#
Two quotes only compare if they describe the same operation. A quote that looks lower may simply describe a smaller operation, or leave out items that another includes. Ask each provider to answer these points in writing.
| Item | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Technique | Is it a mini, SMAS or deep plane lift, and is the neck included? |
| Add-ons | Are eyelid surgery, fat grafting or a brow lift part of the plan, and are they listed separately? |
| Medical team | Who will operate, who gives the anaesthetic, and what is the surgeon's experience with this technique? |
| Institution | What is the hospital's name and licence, and how many nights in hospital are planned? |
| Medication and garments | Are post-operative medication and compression garments included? |
| Stay and transfers | How many hotel nights, transfers and follow-up visits are covered? |
| After you fly home | What does virtual follow-up look like, and how do your operation notes reach your own doctor? |
| If something goes wrong | What happens, and who pays, if a revision, a return to theatre or a longer stay is needed? |
Facelift techniques in brief#
The technique is the biggest single factor in your plan, from a mini lift for early jowling to a SMAS or deep plane lift with neck work, and the surgeon chooses it after examining you. Our comparison of the deep plane and SMAS techniques and the Vertical Restore guide explain the options, and any add-on such as eyelid surgery or fat grafting should be listed separately in your plan.
Is it safe to get a facelift in Turkey?#
A facelift is a significant operation with real risks wherever it is done, and its safety depends on your health, the surgeon, the institution and the aftercare plan more than on the country. Our article on a facelift in Turkey compared with the UK and US covers the risks, aftercare and follow-up, and the guide is plastic surgery in Turkey safe? lists the checks to make. For your quote, the practical point is to have the surgeon's name and the institution's name and licence in writing, and to check them independently before you book.
How to read facelift reviews critically#
Reviews are personal experiences, not medical evidence. Read them for what they can tell you and set aside what they cannot.
What reviews can tell you#
- how quickly and clearly the provider answered questions before surgery;
- whether the written plan matched what happened on arrival;
- how transfers, the hotel and interpreting worked in practice;
- how the early aftercare felt: daily checks, dressing changes and how easy it was to reach someone.
What reviews cannot tell you#
- How often complications happen. People who had a problem may not write a review, and a review page shows only the experiences that were posted. No collection of reviews is a measure of safety.
- What your result will be. Your anatomy, skin, the technique and your healing all differ from the reviewer's.
- The final result. Many reviews are written in the first weeks, while swelling is still settling. A facelift is fairly judged at around six months to a year.
How to weigh what you read#
- Give more weight to detailed reviews that name the procedure, say when they were written and describe follow-up months later.
- Look at how a provider responds when something went wrong. That says more than a run of positive comments.
- Read reviews on more than one independent platform as well as a provider's own site, and be cautious of many short reviews posted within a short period.
- Do not let the number of reviews, or a star score, replace your own checks on the surgeon and the institution.
Our patient reviews page collects experiences of people who travelled with PSTG. Read them with the same questions in mind.
Reading facelift before and after photos#
Photos show more than reviews, but they also need careful reading.
- Same conditions: the before and after photos should share the lighting, background, angle and expression, without make-up or filters.
- The right angles: side and three-quarter views show the jawline and neck better than a front view.
- Hair tied back: this shows where the scars run and whether the hairline has changed.
- The date: early photos show swelling and redness, so check how long after surgery each one was taken.
- One patient each: look for faces with a starting point similar to yours, and remember that no photo predicts your own outcome.
You can see examples, with these points in mind, in the facelift before and after gallery.
From first contact to flying home#
The quote follows the same steps as the trip, so it helps to know them before you compare plans:
- Photo review and written plan. You send photos from the front, both sides and three-quarter angles with your hair tied back, plus your medical history, medication and smoking status. If a facelift is suitable, you receive a written plan and quote.
- Arrival and examination. You arrive a day or two before surgery. The surgeon examines you, confirms the technique and completes blood tests and anaesthetic checks.
- Surgery and hospital stay. The surgeon and anaesthetist decide the type of anaesthetic and how long you stay in hospital; many patients stay one night.
- Recovery stay in Turkey. Many patients plan around ten days to two weeks, so that stitches can be removed in stages and early healing checked.
- Flying home. The surgeon confirms when you are fit to fly, and follow-up continues virtually and with your own doctor.
How the face changes after that, week by week, is covered in our facelift recovery timeline.
Who is a good candidate#
Suitability depends on your anatomy and health, not on the quote, and the surgeon decides it at your assessment. The facelift surgery page explains who a facelift usually suits and who is usually advised against it.
Practical points for a smoother trip#
People who describe the calmest experiences tend to plan in a few simple ways.
- Allow time. Arrive with enough days for the pre-operative checks and stay long enough for the follow-up visits. A tight schedule adds stress.
- Follow the instructions. Advice on medication, nicotine, sleeping position and activity matters more than it may seem.
- Communicate early. Send clear photos, ask your questions before you travel and mention any concern as soon as it appears.
- Bring support. A companion for the first few days helps with simple tasks and with the journey home.
- Plan the flight home. Walk regularly, drink enough water and follow the surgeon's advice on compression stockings and clot prevention. Bring your operation notes and medication list, and tell your own doctor about the surgery.
If you would like to know what your own plan and quote would include, you can send your photos for a free, no-obligation assessment through our contact page. There is no need to decide quickly, and comparing written quotes side by side is a sensible way to take the next step.
